Data on the development of the seaweed community and the fauna on the dike at Sint-Annaland were collected in number of ways as illustrated by the figure above:
- Seaweed group cover data of whole sections were collected by stitching pictures taken using a camera on a pole (red).
- Seaweed group cover data on two heights were collected by taking pictures of selected blocks (green).
- Seaweed and fauna species composition data were collected by in situ species identification along transects (blue).
- Brown seaweed biomass data were collected by sampling transects (blue).
