Data collection locations at the dyke of Sint-Annaland.

Data on the development of the seaweed community and the fauna on the dike at Sint-Annaland were collected in number of ways as illustrated by the figure above:

1. Seaweed group cover data of whole sections were collected by stitching pictures taken using a camera on a pole (red).
2. Seaweed group cover data on two heights were collected by taking pictures of selected blocks (green).
3. Seaweed and fauna species composition data were collected by in situ species identification along transects (blue).
4. Brown seaweed biomass data were collected by sampling transects (blue).
