Coastal environment provides opportunities for swimming, scuba diving, surfing, boating, pole fishing, sunbathing, ecotourism, etc. Thus, coastal tourism is one of the fastest growing global sectors of tourism, generating billions of dollars annually and is the main source of income in a large part of coastal regions. Coastal tourism depends on good air and water quality, healthy ecosystems and opportunities to observe diverse wildlife (anon., 2006).
